Following the historic approval of spot ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum, attention has quickly turned to which altcoins might be next in line.

Major investment firms, including Grayscale and Bitwise, have already filed for spot ETFs linked to several top altcoins, fueling speculation about how soon these products could reach the market.

According to a recent Bloomberg analysis, Solana and Litecoin currently lead the pack, each given a 90% probability of approval by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

XRP follows closely with an 85% chance, while Dogecoin and Hedera are estimated at 80%. Further down the list are Cardano, Polkadot, and Avalanche, each sitting at 75%.

These updated figures reflect growing optimism compared to Bloomberg’s February outlook, which placed XRP’s approval likelihood at just 65% and Solana’s at 70%. The only constant has been Litecoin, maintaining a consistent 90% approval estimate.

Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, who contributed to the analysis, also speculated that most decisions will likely fall in Q4 2025. However, he noted that earlier approvals are not out of the question, depending on how regulatory developments unfold in the coming months.
