Bitlayer and Sundial Reach Strategic Partnership, BitVM Bridge Connects BTC and Cardano Ecosystems
On May 8, it was announced that the project Bitlayer, based on the implementation of BitVM technology within the Bitcoin ecosystem, has entered into a strategic partnership with Sundial. The two parties will collaborate to advance the implementation of a BTC cross-chain bridge based on BitVM, enabling bidirectional interoperability between BTC and Cardano ecosystem assets. Sundial is a leading Optimistic Rollup L2 in the Cardano ecosystem, and this collaboration will break the liquidity barriers of Bitcoin, allowing BTC holders to directly participate in Cardano's public chain DeFi, NFT, and other ecosystem applications, while injecting trillion-dollar-level BTC asset liquidity into the Cardano ecosystem. Currently, the BTCFi infrastructure BitVM Bridge, supported by Bitlayer, has established partnerships with six public chains and protocols, including Base, Starknet, Arbitrum, Sonic, Plume Network, and Sundial. The future ecosystem map will expand to more ecosystems. According to official news, BitVM Bridge has entered the final testing stage and will officially launch on the mainnet this month.
