Trump: Russia-Ukraine Talks May Yield Positive Results
According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. President Trump believes that the upcoming talks between Russia and Ukraine could be productive. "The meeting with Russia and Ukraine on Thursday is very important. I really insisted on holding this meeting. I think this meeting could yield good results," Trump stated. Russian President Putin earlier proposed resuming direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15, after a break in direct negotiations. Turkish President Erdogan later confirmed that he is prepared to host the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul. The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that Russia and Ukraine could agree on the conditions to start negotiations in Istanbul in the coming days.
