Stocktwits Launches ‘Cryptotwits’ to Bridge Traditional Finance and Crypto

The move signals Stocktwits’ strategic expansion into the cryptocurrency space at a time when the boundaries between traditional finance and decentralized finance are increasingly intersecting. Through Cryptotwits, the platform brings its signature message volume analytics and trader sentiment tools to over 17,000 crypto assets. The interface, featuring dark mode, trending bars, and customizable watchlists, offers a tailored experience for digital asset traders.

According to Stocktwits CEO Howard Lindzon, the launch addresses a long-standing void in the crypto market.

“Crypto has lacked a trusted social layer where retail investors can get real-time, authentic insights,”

he said.

“Cryptotwits delivers exactly that backed by a decade of experience and a community that knows how to cut through noise.”

To ensure a seamless transition, all existing Stocktwits users have been automatically onboarded to Cryptotwits, gaining instant access to tools like the Crypto Trending Bar and proprietary sentiment indicators. 

Further reinforcing the platform’s credibility, Grayscale has become the Official Asset Management Partner for the platform and will co-produce Cryptotwits Daily, a show focused on market analysis and crypto trends. Gemini is the Official Centralized Exchange Partner, providing users with custom trading offers across over 70 digital assets. Additional founding partners include Alto CryptoIRA, Helix App, MoonPay, and CoinGecko, which are helping expand the platform’s crypto ecosystem.

Expanding its crypto footprint further, Gemini has also been appointed custodian for Evolve Funds’ newly launched leveraged Bitcoin (LBIT) and Ethereum (LETH) ETFs, which debuted this week on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). These ETFs offer retail investors 1.25x leveraged exposure to BTC and ETH using cash borrowing instead of derivatives, underscoring the growing demand for structured crypto investment products in traditional markets.
