Polymarket Sets Record for New Market Creations in April, Active Traders Decline
According to a report by Jinse Finance, data from The Block shows that the creation of new markets on Polymarket reached an all-time high in April, with over 7,000 prediction markets launched, a 20.7% increase from March's 5,800. Despite the surge in market creation, the number of active traders has decreased from 462,000 in January to 330,000 in April, and trading volume has stabilized, with total bets in April amounting to less than $900 million, down from $2.6 billion in January. The report suggests that this may indicate a shift in the user base towards more centralized market creators.
