Pakistan Appoints Bilal Bin Saqib as Special Assistant for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, as a Special Assistant for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. He has been granted the rank of Minister of State but will not receive salary or benefits. He will be responsible for formulating cryptocurrency regulatory policies that comply with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards, promoting national Bitcoin mining projects, and advancing the application of blockchain in government governance, land registration, and financial systems.
