Circle freezes two Solana wallet addresses associated with the LIBRA team, involving approximately 58 million USDC
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Circle, the issuer of the stablecoin USDC, recently froze two Solana wallet addresses related to the LIBRA token team, involving approximately 58 million USDC. Data from Solscan shows that the frozen addresses hold 44.59 million and 13.06 million USDC, respectively. The freeze stems from legal disputes triggered by the meme coin LIBRA incident. After being promoted by Argentine President Milei in February, its market value once soared to billions of dollars, only to plummet by 90%, being accused of a pump-and-dump scheme. Burwick Law Firm, which focuses on the crypto sector, stated that the freeze was in response to a temporary restraining order request filed by them, while Argentine lawsuit plaintiff Martin Romeo claimed the freeze was initiated by the Argentine judiciary.
