ZachXBT: Harsher Penalties Needed for SIM Swap Fraud, Juvenile Offenders Punished Too Lightly
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on-chain detective ZachXBT stated that SIM card swapping/social engineering fraud requires harsher penalties. The laws in Canada/EU are very lenient, allowing perpetrators to escape many punishments. Many of them are minors, which enables them to evade more penalties, and their details are protected (this is why I disclose their full names regardless of age).
