Meta considers investing over $10 billion in ScaleAI
According to a report by Jinse Finance, insiders have revealed that Meta Platforms (META.O) is in talks to invest in the AI startup Scale AI. This financing is reportedly valued at over $10 billion, making it one of the largest private enterprise financing activities in history. Insiders say that the terms of the deal have not been finalized and are still subject to change. Scale AI provides data labeling services to help companies train machine learning models and has become a major beneficiary of the generative AI boom, with clients including Microsoft (MSFT.O) and OpenAI. The startup's previous round of financing, valued at approximately $14 billion, took place in 2024 and was supported by Meta and Microsoft. Earlier this year, media reported that Scale AI was in negotiations for a $25 billion acquisition offer.
