Fed Chair Powell: Monetary Policy Still Needs to Be "Moderately Restrictive" for the Economy
Odaily Planet Daily reports: At a press conference, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell stated that given the current state of inflation, monetary policy still needs to impose some restrictions on the economy. The current interest rate level is not very high. The present policy can be described as moderately or somewhat restrictive, and now it may be more inclined toward "moderately restrictive." He added, "If you look at the current economic performance, you'll find that it doesn't appear to be experiencing 'very tight monetary policy.'" (Jin10)
