Fidelity: 10-Year Bitcoin Holdings Growing Faster Than Daily Circulating Supply
According to the latest report released by Fidelity Digital Assets, the growth rate of "10-year Bitcoin" holdings has surpassed the daily circulating supply. The so-called "10-year Bitcoin" refers to bitcoins that have remained unmoved for at least ten years. Data shows that since April 2024, an average of 566 BTC per day have entered the ranks of "10-year Bitcoin," exceeding the 450 BTC currently added to the circulating supply by miners each day. At present, "10-year Bitcoin" accounts for more than 17% of all mined bitcoins, approximately 3.4 million BTC, whereas this figure was close to zero when the metric was first calculated in early 2019. Fidelity predicts that, as Bitcoin’s issuance schedule decreases with each halving, the circulating supply of Bitcoin will reach 20% of the total by 2030 and 25% by 2034, based on current trends.
