On July 5, Elon Musk said he’s forming a new political party called the America Party, after the US President Donald Trump, signed the “Big Beautiful Bill” on the US Independence Day on July 4th. Musk also highlighted that the new party will support Bitcoin, as “fiat is hopeless.”

On July 7, Musk shared a post on X saying that the America Party is the solution, after re-posting a statement by E/Acc founder who said that being a centrist is now considered a radical, “batshit crazy idea.”
When someone asked Musk whether the new party will embrace Bitcoin, the tech mogul said that “fiat is hopeless, so yes.”

Earlier today, July 7, Musk shared another post on X, highlighting that the America Party is needed to fight the Republican/Democrat Uniparty, and showing that debt in the US has consistently risen regardless of which party is in power.
According to Musk’s post, the US debt has grown in the country between 1981 and 2023, surpassing $30 trillion.

Musk’s America Party
Musk announced the formation of the America Party on July 5th – a third political party to “End the Uniparty” announced after Musk’s fallout with Donald Trump, after the US President signed the Big Beautiful Law on July 4th.
The America Party platform will reportedly:
- Reduce debt, allowing responsible spending only
- Modernize the military with AI and robotics
- Be pro-tech and accelerate AI developments
- Provide less regulation, especially in energy
- Be pro-free speech and pro-natalist
- Offer centrist policies

Musk’s idea of a third political party comes following Trump’s latest moves involving the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which Musk estimates will add trillions of dollars to the federal deficit. The BBB was the catalyst for a major feud between Musk and Trump recently.
