Uzbekistan’s National Payment System HUMO Launches Government Bond-Backed Token
Foresight News reports, citing Cointelegraph, that Uzbekistan’s national payment system HUMO has announced the issuance of a government bond-backed crypto token through its subsidiary, HUMO Digital. The token has been registered in the Unified Electronic Register of Crypto Assets maintained by the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) of Uzbekistan, with Asterium, a crypto custody institution, overseeing the collateral and secure storage of the token.
The HUMO token offers instant automatic fiat conversion, no intermediary delays, lower transaction costs, and full transparency and security based on blockchain technology. Through this project, HUMO aims to attract foreign investment, streamline business payments, and enhance financial transparency. The system has established direct relationships with global payment networks such as Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay, and is actively expanding integration with multiple countries, including Georgia and Kazakhstan.
