Fogo launches high-performance Layer 1 SVM chain public testnet with 40ms block time
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Fogo, a Layer 1 blockchain founded by former Wall Street executives, announced on Tuesday the official launch of its public testnet. Fogo aims to bring the execution speed of traditional finance into the decentralized finance sector without compromising decentralization and composability. The team stated that the Fogo network can achieve 40-millisecond block times and, through native infrastructure and vertical integration, offers unique advantages for on-chain trading products. Other innovations include reducing MEV risks, a co-located node architecture for real-time trade execution, and an enhanced session-based account management experience. Fogo plans to be the first to fully deploy the Firedancer validator client. It currently uses the Frankendancer hybrid client and will gradually transition to Firedancer. (The Block)
