Solana Developers Consider Raising Block Limit by 66% to 100 Million Compute Units to Further Boost Network Capacity
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Solana developers are considering raising the block limit from 60 million compute units to 100 million compute units through the SIMD-0286 proposal, which would achieve a 66% increase in capacity, provided validators opt in to the upgrade. The proposal aims to further enhance Solana’s network capacity, allowing it to process more transactions per second. Compute units are the fundamental measure of transaction complexity and resource consumption on the Solana network; increasing the block compute unit limit will directly boost the network’s transaction processing capability.
