UXLINK: Web3 Real Acquaintance Social Platform and Infrastructure
The UXLINK whitepaper was released by the core team from late 2023 to early 2025, aiming to solve pain points such as high barriers for Web3 users, complex interactions, and lack of ownership of social data, driving large-scale migration of Web2 users to Web3.
The theme of the UXLINK whitepaper is “UXLINK: Connecting People and Projects, Driving Mass Adoption of Web3 as a Social Platform and Infrastructure.” Its uniqueness lies in building a two-way real acquaintance social “growth layer,” and achieving seamless cross-chain experience with OneAccount and OneGas; its significance is in lowering the Web3 barrier, laying the foundation for a decentralized social ecosystem, and bridging Web2 and Web3.
UXLINK’s original intention is to create an open, neutral “Web3 social world computer.” The core idea is: by integrating real social relationships with blockchain technology, and using account abstraction and universal Gas mechanisms, Web2 users can transition smoothly and empower the monetization of social networks.
UXLINK whitepaper summary
What is UXLINK
Friend, imagine the social apps we use every day, like WeChat, QQ, or Facebook. They connect us with friends, let us chat and share our lives. But these platforms are usually controlled by a single company, and our data and interactions are managed by them. UXLINK is like an attempt to rebuild a more open, more user-owned “social network” in the blockchain world.
Simply put, UXLINK is a Web3 social platform and infrastructure. It’s not just a chat tool, but more like a “bridge” connecting people to people, people to projects, and people to digital assets. Its target users are those who want to build real social relationships in the digital world, and discover, participate in, or even trade crypto assets through those relationships.
You can think of it as a “social + financial” ecosystem. For example, you join UXLINK through a friend’s invitation, just like being added to a WeChat group. In this group, you can not only chat with friends, but also explore new blockchain projects together, and even directly trade digital assets in the group—all based on real trust between you and your friends. UXLINK also provides tools, such as allowing you to easily enter the Web3 world using familiar social accounts (like Telegram, X, etc.), and even automatically generating a blockchain wallet for you, greatly lowering the barrier for newcomers.
Project Vision and Value Proposition
UXLINK’s vision is to become the largest social platform and infrastructure in the Web3 world. It has several core value propositions:
Social Hub: Building Real Two-Way Connections
Unlike many current social media platforms where you can only follow others or view their content, UXLINK emphasizes two-way, real acquaintance social relationships. Just like with friends in real life, you know each other and interact mutually. Through this approach, it aims to make socializing in Web3 more authentic and trustworthy.
Gateway to Everything: Connecting Web2 and Web3
The blockchain world is a high barrier for many people. UXLINK wants to be an “entry point” so that Web2 (the internet we use now) users can smoothly enter Web3 (the blockchain internet). It enables both users and developers to discover, distribute, and trade crypto assets in a socialized way.
Community Prosperity: Co-building and Sharing Economic Ecosystem
UXLINK is committed to building an inclusive, trustworthy community that can also bring economic rewards. Through incentive mechanisms, it hopes users can earn rewards while participating in social interactions and contributing to the ecosystem.
Compared to similar projects, UXLINK’s uniqueness lies in its emphasis on real social relationships and “two-way interaction” rather than simple one-way following. It also uses innovative technologies, such as account abstraction, to solve the current complexity of blockchain technology for users and developers.
Technical Features
UXLINK has made many technical efforts to make blockchain socializing simpler and more efficient:
OneAccount (Account Abstraction)
Imagine having to log in to various apps with different usernames and passwords—it’s a hassle. In the blockchain world, managing wallets, private keys, and seed phrases is even more complex. OneAccount is like a “smart butler” that connects your social accounts (such as Telegram, X) with your blockchain wallet, allowing you to interact across different blockchain apps with a single identity, saving you many tedious steps. It also offers a social relationship-based account recovery mechanism—if you have account issues, you can recover it through trusted friends, which is more user-friendly than traditional private key recovery.
OneGas (Universal Gas)
In the blockchain world, every operation requires a “fee,” known as Gas. Different blockchains have different Gas tokens, which is as troublesome as exchanging currencies when traveling abroad. OneGas aims to let you pay all on-chain Gas fees with UXLINK tokens, like having a globally accepted credit card, greatly simplifying cross-chain operations.
Social Growth Protocol and Chain Abstraction
UXLINK provides a “social growth protocol” to help developers leverage social relationships to promote their decentralized apps (dApps). At the same time, it’s building “chain abstraction” features so users won’t feel they’re using different blockchains—all operations feel like they’re on a unified platform.
UXLINK’s infrastructure is built on Optimistic Rollup. You can think of Optimistic Rollup as a “highway” that processes large numbers of transactions quickly off the main chain, then packages and submits the results to the main chain, improving efficiency and reducing costs. UXLINK’s “Proof of Link” mechanism is a reward system that encourages users to invite friends and contribute to the community to earn UXUY points. This incentivizes participation and building social relationships, rather than serving as the blockchain’s consensus mechanism.
Tokenomics
UXLINK has designed a “dual token” model, like a company issuing two types of shares—common and preferred—each with its own use:
UXUY (Utility Token/Points)
UXUY is the “points” or “reward credits” in the UXLINK ecosystem. It is not pre-minted, but generated through a mechanism called “Proof of Link.” This means you earn UXUY by inviting friends, actively contributing to the community, etc.—just like gaining experience points by completing tasks in a game. UXUY can be used to pay for various platform services, including transaction fees. To maintain its value and scarcity, UXUY has a burn mechanism, and when the user base reaches 100 million, new UXUY rewards will stop to prevent over-inflation.
UXLINK (Governance Token)
The UXLINK token is the platform’s “governance token.” Its total supply is fixed at 1 billion. Holding UXLINK tokens gives you the right to participate in major platform decisions, such as protocol upgrades and fee structure adjustments—just like shareholders voting on a company’s direction. Developers and ecosystem partners also need to hold UXLINK tokens to access platform protocols and services.
Token Allocation and Unlocking
- Community and Users: 65% of tokens are allocated to the community, with 40% for users and 25% for builders and partners.
- Private Sale/Partners: 21.25%.
- Team: 8.75%.
- Liquidity, Marketing, and Reserve: Remaining portion.
The initial circulating supply of UXLINK tokens is 170 million, accounting for 17% of the total supply. Community airdrop tokens have no lock-up period. Partner tokens have a 3-month lock-up, then release 12.5% per quarter over 8 quarters. Team tokens have a 6-month lock-up, then release 12.5% per quarter over 8 quarters.
Important Note: Recently, the UXLINK project experienced a security incident resulting in stolen funds. To compensate affected users, the team proposed early unlocking of some team and treasury tokens, which may increase market circulation and raise concerns about token dilution.
Team, Governance, and Funding
Team
UXLINK’s core team members include Abao Wu, Mark Wang, and Xiao Zihao. They have extensive Web2 and Web3 entrepreneurial experience, having worked in mobile apps and companies like NVIDIA as software engineers. The team’s background shows they are capable of combining traditional internet social experience with blockchain technology.
Governance
UXLINK’s governance will be implemented through its governance token, UXLINK. Users holding UXLINK tokens will have voting rights on major platform decisions. The project roadmap also shows plans to launch a full DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) governance model in the future, allowing broader community participation in project management and development.
Funding
UXLINK has completed multiple funding rounds. It has raised over $14 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, ZhenFund. Common Risk Reminders
Every blockchain project comes with risks, and UXLINK is no exception. It’s important to understand these risks before participating in any project:
Technical and Security Risks
- Security Vulnerabilities: UXLINK recently suffered a major security incident—its multi-signature wallet was attacked, resulting in tens of millions of dollars in stolen assets, and the attacker even minted a large number of unauthorized UXLINK tokens. Although the team is actively responding and plans to conduct token swaps and strengthen security measures, such incidents show that smart contract and wallet security remain major challenges.
- Smart Contract Risks: Although the team mentions audits, the complexity of smart contracts may still hide undiscovered vulnerabilities.
Economic Risks
- Token Dilution: To compensate affected users, the team may unlock some tokens early, which could increase market circulation and put downward pressure on token prices.
- Market Volatility: The crypto market is highly volatile. UXLINK token prices are affected by market sentiment, macroeconomics, regulatory policies, and project development.
- Competition Risk: The Web3 social sector is highly competitive. Whether UXLINK can continue to attract users and developers and maintain its leading position remains a challenge.
Compliance and Operational Risks
- Regulatory Uncertainty: Global regulatory policies for crypto and blockchain projects are still evolving, and future changes may impact project operations.
- Operational Risk: The project’s long-term success depends on the team’s execution, community activity, and ongoing ecosystem development.
