BlockTower is spinning off its venture capital division into Strobe Ventures, and plans to raise $100 million for its second fund
According to The Block, BlockTower Capital announced that it will spin off its venture capital department into Strobe Ventures and plans to raise $100 million for its second fund.
It is reported that Strobe Ventures will double its investment in early-stage cryptocurrencies with a "high conviction" strategy.
This spin-off took place after BlockTower announced its merger with Arca in November 2024. The merger outlined plans to unify their liquidity trading and credit underwriting departments under one brand. However, BlockTower's venture capital department chose to remain independent and has now been renamed as Strobe Ventures, while retaining the capital, limited partners (LP), portfolio, and team of the BlockTower venture capital department.
