The asset is now trading just below a major resistance area that could determine whether the current rally extends toward $2,000 and beyond. Although the short-term trend remains tilted in favor of buyers, institutional demand still appears muted. This is reflected by the Coin - base Premium Index, which remains below zero, suggesting that U.S. investors have yet to return in full force despite ETH’s improving price action. ✅ Daily Chart Signals Growing Strength On the daily chart, Ethereum has bounced convincingly after holding the $1.5K demand zone, an area where buyers repeatedly stepped in to prevent further downside. That rebound has pushed $ETH back above the upper boundary of the descending channel, improving the overall technical outlook. However, the next hurdle is significant. ETH is approaching a major confluence of resistance, where the descending trendline meets the 100-day moving average. Just above that sits the 200-day moving average near the $2.2K level. These dynamic resistance levels also line up with the key horizontal supply zones around $2K and $2.4K, making this one of the most important areas bulls must overcome before a broader bullish reversal can be confirmed. Momentum has strengthened as well. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has climbed into the upper half of its range, showing increasing buying pressure while remaining below overbought conditions. For now, the route toward the $2K-$2.2K resistance zone remains open. Still, failure to break through this region could see ETH rejected once again, keeping the broader bearish structure intact. If that happens, the price may slip back inside the descending channel and revisit the $1.5K support zone. ✅ 4-Hour Chart Maintains Bullish Structure The lower timeframe presents a more encouraging picture. Ethereum has continued to print higher highs and higher lows while trading inside an ascending channel that has supported its recovery throughout June and July. After rebounding from the $1.7K short-term demand zone, the asset gained momentum and advanced toward the upper boundary of the channel, where it is now consolidating around the $1.9K level. This leaves ETH sitting directly beneath a key resistance trendline that has repeatedly capped previous rallies. The first area of support now comes in around $1.76K, where former resistance has successfully flipped into support. As long as Ethereum holds above this level and continues respecting the ascending trendline, the current bullish structure remains intact, increasing the likelihood of another attempt to break above the channel resistance near $1.95K. A decisive breakout above that level could pave the way for a move toward the psychological $2K mark. On the other hand, losing the ascending trendline would weaken the current momentum and could expose the $1.7K support area once again. ✅ Coin - base Premium Index Still Calls for Caution Despite Ethereum’s steady recovery, the Coinbase Premium Index continues to tell a more cautious story. While the metric has recovered from the deeply negative levels recorded earlier this summer, it still remains below zero.
