What is Orbcity (ORB)?
KlayCity, now known as OrbCity, is a decentralized LandFi metaverse backed by Krust, one of the biggest blockchain companies in South Korea.
OrbCity was launched on Klaytn blockchain in 2021 as KlayCIty and got support from the likes of Animoca Brand, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, and Kyros Ventures. Towards the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the project was rebranded to OrbCity and migrated to Polygon.
How Orbcity (ORB) Works
Orbcity combines NFT Gaming and DeFi to create an ecosystem where users can own a part of cities around the world in the form of NFTs. LAY007 is a utility token generated by district and building owners, which can be used to farm ORB, the governance token, and mint new districts and buildings. ORB tokens can be used to mint new district and building NFTs or upgrade existing ones. Non-owners can earn rewards by completing daily tasks to earn SCRAP tokens, which then can farm ORB tokens and LAY007 Part NFTs. The community is invited to govern the world of OrbCity and submit ideas to replenish and develop their land.
