What Is Scroll (SCR)?
Scroll is a Layer 2 scaling solution designed to improve the performance of the Ethereum blockchain using zkEVM and ZK-Rollup technology. It aims to address Ethereum's scalability challenges by processing transactions off-chain in a more efficient manner, validating them on the Ethereum mainnet using cryptographic proofs. How Scroll (SCR) Works
Scroll operates based on four key principles: user security, EVM compatibility, efficiency, and decentralization. The Scroll Node, Roller Network, and Rollup and Bridge Contracts make up the architecture of Scroll. Transactions are processed by submitting them to the Scroll Node, organizing them into blocks, generating validity proofs, and finalizing the blocks for addition to the Scroll ledger.
